The Four C’s of “New Marketing” and Social Media Marketing
Most of us or most new business owners want to post on Facebook. They want to open a Facebook account and start posting right away for their new business. This is the last step you need to accomplish before starting out in social media. Your Facebook personal page is separate from your business page. The reason being is your business page has less engagements.
Content Creation: In order for you to be found in search engines is you
have to create content. Creating content is crucial in this day and age. The source of your business is going to come mostly
from content creation. There are many tools you can create content in:
Slideshare
YouTube
Social Media Press Releases
LinkedIn Posts
Creating a blog on your website
Culture: One of the most important tools for business is excellent customer
service. Many of the ways to provide great customer service is through social media. Social media is a great tool to build relationships, new
referrals, meet new people and enhance customer service. You have to build your own brand all around. This will have to do with how you're perceived throughout the media.
Connecting: Once you build new connections/ new relationships, the most important thing to do is to keep those loyal customers. Spam is not the way to keep customers. This can actually cause you to lose these clients. You need to provide value by getting rid of the S word, SALE and switch to the M word, MARKETING.
Consistency: Think of social media as campaigns. You have to
be consistent all the time when posting content. Being consistent can shift the mind set of others (paradigm). It is really all
about social media optimization. Social media can help you show up in the
search engine. In my Udemy Course, I offer a successful checklist for optimizing your business needs.
The biggest question I get is as a Social Media expert, teacher and consultant is "can social media really make a difference to your business"? The answer is YES! But only if you use Social Media correctly. Social Media is really about SEO! A good Social Media Marketing strategy utilizes Google's algorithms to increase rankings of your website and to rank your Social Media accounts and postings and serve them to the user when the right search terms are entered in Google. Google loves backlinks, which, by definition, are links on other sites back to your site. The higher the value of the site where the link to your website is posted, the higher the value to your rankings on Google. As you'll learn in my Simple Social Media Udemy.com course, Social Media is divided into M-LevelsTM
Level-1 Social Media tools are those tools where content is created and Level-2 tools are the Social Media sites where the Level-1 postings are shared. Posting directly on Level-2 Social Media tools works only if you have strong engagement. This means that whenever you post something people react and they post comments, likes and shares!
Most people will not experience a very active "viral" response to Social Media postings, so we must create Valuable, Keyword-rich, Relevant and Target Market content on our Level-1 Social Media tools in order to get results.

What is Social Media? What is Social Bookmarking? Can it Help Me Grow My Business?
Facebook is NOT a good business tool, unless you incorporate it into a valid Social Media Marketing strategy! I teach the two levels of Social Media. Level 1 being the keyword-rich content and Level-2, the share.
If you've ever wondered how the "SEO Gurus" seem to be able to get pages to the top of a Google search? One of the tools they use is Social Media.
As mentioned above, the first thing needed is relevant, keyword-rich, target market, valuable content. Then this Level-1 content is shared across many Level-2 Social Media tools like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, and Social Bookmarking sites such as Digg, Delicious, Reddit and StumbleUpon.
But does this really work to build your business? The answer is yes! You are able to level the playing field and even dominate Google Search with a great Social Media Marketing strategy that includes keyword-rich Social Media Level-1 content, followed by posting such content on the Social Media Level-2 sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Digg, Delicious, Reddit and StumbleUpon, among many others.
This strategy does work to increase traffic to your website and other sites and to grow your sales and profits! As I say in my courses, it's about "Social Media Domination".
If you are in Miami or South Florida you can take my courses in Social Media Mastery, SEO, Local Social Media, Email Marketing, WordPress and other business building courses. Just follow some of the links below to get more information.
Many business owners and sales professionals think that they can sit behind a desk and grow their business or their sales! This is far from the truth. You've got to get out there, network and meet people. But your time is precious, so in order to optimize your networking efforts you've got to choose the right networking events.
First, let me start by telling you that most "after-hours" events are not productive for business professionals. The format of these drink, eat and be merry events are just not effective as a means of meeting potential prospects and clients. Avoid them.
Your time is better invested in the following types of networking events:
Morning "breakfast" networking events such as BNI meetings and chamber of commerce functions: The latter, chamber of commerce functions, in my opinion, are better than BNI meetings. I find those way too structured and costly. But if it works for you, go for it!
Dynamic and well attended Toastmasters Meetings: I host a Toastmasters chapter here in Doral and this chapter is dynamic and full of professionals. You'll be able to practice public speaking too, while you meet and network with some of most rounded professionals on the planet!
Seminars and Workshops attended by your target market: Every event, workshop, class, seminar or lecture is a networking opportunity! You'll meet some of the brightest and most interesting professionals while feeding your mind with very interesting topics. This is definitely time well invested.
Your own information-filled seminar directed to your target market. Putting on your own seminars, workshops or lectures that educate and motivate your target market is an idea of the New Marketing era! Educate, don't sell! Your goal is to give such a great seminar the attendees will ask you how it's possible to work with you. You'll be surprised at the results!
Speed Networking Events: They are fun, fast, very effective and efficient marketing tools for business professionals. In a well-planned and organized Speed Networking event you will meet from 10 to 50 people ready, willing and able to hear your marketing message since you are only their for one reason; to talk about your business in two and a half minutes or less! Check list link often if you live in Miami for the next Speed Networking at the Speed of Business Event!
Your time is valuable, so use it wisely. Stop the after-hours drinking events that are so called "networking events". By dedicating your time to effective networking platforms you will break the ice faster, establish more relationships and increase the return on investment of your time and energy!
It can sometimes be challenging to get to the first page of Google and other search engines, and we all know that very few people will browse past the first page of search results! You try and try again and nothing seems to work. What else is there to do? How can you get your business found when someone searches Google? Try micro-sites! I sometimes refer to Google results, or lack there of, as "mysteries of the Google Universe". So, if you are having a challenge getting to the top of Google search results, how about building a website that is specifically SEO optimized for a specific niche of your business? Here is an example: A realtor in Miami has a website built for him by his broker. With 28,000+ realtors in Miami, how easy do you think it would be to get his website to the top of the Google, Bing or Yahoo search results? Very difficult! Unless the realtor builds a website broken down and keyword (SEO) optimized for the following: Real Estate > Homes > Homes in Miami > Homes in Doral > Luxury Homes in Doral > Foreclosed Luxury Homes in Doral > Foreclosed Luxury Town Homes in Doral At the time of my writing the domain www.foreclosedluxurytownhomesdoral.com was available for purchase at: www.1and1.com . The next step is to run a keyword research on Google Adwords, install WordPress and create a five page microsite, optimized for those keywords and containing a correctly created and submitted sitemap.xml file. All this may seem daunting but it's really not! Creating websites with WordPress is easy! WordPress websites are very powerful for Search Engine Optimization because of it's SEO and other plugins. I teach hands-on classes in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and other Florida cities. www.WordPressTrainingandClasses.com . Building micro-sites is a powerful strategy that can get you to the top of the search engines. Along with a real Social Media Marketing strategy, you can drive more traffic to your site, increase your clientel and your profits! I wish you Great Success! A lesson from my courses in Social Media Mastery, WordPress Web Design and Search Engine Optimization: Don't use images from Google.com. Most images that appear on Google Images and other websites are copyrighted. Which means that, as tempting as it seems, you are not allowed to these images without permission or licensing them.
The Big, Mean, Money-hungry, Power-Hungry guys like Getty Images protect their images and don't really care about the circumstances!
If you use a Getty Images or any other image or photo licensing broker's images, videos, fonts or other media without paying for them or acquiring permission, the Big, Bad, Wolfs, like Getty will come after you and they will demand compensation.
Here's to You Getty!
This is the case with one of my colleagues. She works from home. Has a husband that is disabled and three hungry mouths to feed and clothe. Well, inadvertently she used and image from the web as a temporary place holder while she found an image to purchase. She forgot all about the image.. Who can blame her when she has three kids to get ready for school and daycare, a husband who is disabled and a house to maintain. Well, Getty Images sure didn't care!
The image she used was for one of her clients. It was a Getty Images image. Getty sent her client a $380 bill for "Unauthorized Use". Her client is asking her to pay the Demand from Getty, which I understand.
She called Getty Images to ask for assistance from them... She got a big, fat NO!
Now, I can understand Getty's position in all this... but come on! Is Getty Images in such dyer financial position that they couldn't help this mother of three young children! That borders on corporate ignorance, in my opinion! When BIG business is so hard up for cash that they "just can't make an exception, I cringe at where the future of business is going!
We know that Getty Images is a major player in Image brokering, which makes it all the worst! It bothers me to see this ABUSE and CORPORATE GREED!
Shame on You, Getty Images and Your Corporate Insensitivity and Greed!
